Lesson 1 Its Windy and Cool.(The 1st period)
Teaching aimsKnowledge objective:
Ss can listen and speak the words about this lesson: hot ,cool, warm, fine, weather . Meanwhile Ss can pronounce the words correctly .
Students master the sentence pattern: Hows the weather Its.../Its ...and....
Ability objective:
To develop Ss abilities of listening and speaking.
To train Ss ability of working in groups.
To foster students abilities of communication and innovation.
objective:
(l)To enable Ss to speak English bravely and work in groups freely.
(2)Ss can love nature and enjoy the beauties of nature.
Teaching key points:
Ss can express the words : hot, cool, warm, fine, weather.
can express: Hows the weather ?It,s.../Its ...and....
Teaching difficulties:
I think it is difficult to master the pronunciation of “weather and warm”. And try to use the sentence pattern in their daily life.
Teaching process:
Step 1 warming up
Lead in
T:Do you like dancing? Do you like singing ?Before our class, lets watching a video first. Sing and move your body in the rhythm.
learn the word the words of the weather and the sentence pattern:
—how s the weather?
Its sunny....
Step 2 Presentation
Teach the new wordsAsk Ss: do you know other kinds of weather? :warm
T:If it is cold ,do like this it will be warm...
:cool
T act and say :If it is windy, it will be so cool..Follow me cool. -- hows the weather? Its cool wave your hands like this...
:hot
Show a picture of dog, ask them try to read “hot by reading dog”.
:fine
Let Ss learn the pronunciation of fine by reading nine.
Let Ss write down the words on the paper. Then act each word by waving their arms or hands while learning it.
5. Sing a song. Acting while singing.
Step 3 Play games
a train.(work in groups)
Show the pictures on the PPT. students should perform and ask the question, another student should answer it then perform the next picture and ask. They should do this one by one till the last picture is been showed. Le
