An elephant is bigger than a tiger. 形容词的比较级是在形容词的基础上变化而来的，它 的变化规则是： ① 一般的直接在词尾加 er ，如 tall - taller , strong - stronger , ② 以 e 结尾的，直接加r ，如 fine – finer , ③ 以辅音字母加 y 结尾的，先改 y 为 i 再加 er，如funny - funnier ④ 双写最后的字母再加 er，如 big – bigger, thin – thinner , hot – hotter 什么叫开音节？ 开音节分两种，一种叫绝对开音节，相对开音节。 ①绝对开音节：单个元音字母后面没有辅字组的重读 音节。例如：no blue ba-by stu-dent se-cret. ②相对开音节：单个元音字母后面加单个辅音字母， 再加一个不发音字母 e 构成的重读音节。例如：name these bike home ex-cuse. 什么叫闭音节？ 单个元音字母后面有辅字组且以辅字组结尾的重读音 节。例如：bag egg fish not cup 英语读音开音节和闭音节1．开音节 1）以发音的元音字母结尾的单节。 例：be，he。 2）以辅音字母+不发音的 e 结尾的音节。 例：make， like。 * 在重读的开音节中元音字母按字母名称读音。2．闭音节 以一个或几个辅音字母结尾而中间只有一个元音字母 的音节， 称为闭音节。例：map，desk，is。 * 在重读的闭音节中元音字母读做短元音。 除此之外，还有几个特殊的单词，它的比较级和最高 级都是不规则的，如： many / much– more– most little / few – less – least good – better – best bad – worse – worst far – further– furthest 附加：形容词的最高级变化类似于比较级，只是把词 尾的er 改成 est，如： tall - taller - tallest long- longer- longest big - bigger- biggest ☆注意☆ 比较的两者应该是互相对应的可比较的东 西。 典型错误：My hair is longer than you. 比较的两者是我的头发、你，那么比较的对象就没有 可比性。 应该改为： My hair is longer than yours. 或My hair is longer than your hair. 附：如果比较的两者是一样的时候，我们会用 as…as…这个词组，它的用法是： 什么+be+as+形容词原形+as+什么，意思是什么和什么 一样……。如： I’m as tall as you.
