Guide the students get to know the basic knowledge of a debate and can debate with others in a proper way,such as logical reasoning and supporting facts.Students’ ability of logical thinking and the use of English can be improved. Help the students form correct views on life and value by sublimating the understanding of friendship. Evaluation objectives: Ask the students to talk about their opinions of the two points of view to find out if they can use some relevant expressions correctly and if they have a better understanding of friendship. Ask the students to debate with other groups to find out if they can get the basic knowledge of a debate. Teaching key and difficult points: Enable the students to understand the two points of view through discussing. Lead the students to know the basic knowledge of a debate. Help the students get to know the basic knowledge of a debate by using proper ways. Help the students understand the theme of this unit deeper and help them form correct views on life and values. Teaching methods: Task-based Approach;Communicative Approach; Cooperative Teaching Method Teaching procedures: Step1:Lead-in What idioms about friendship do you know?Share your answers with your classmates. ______________________________________________________________ Step2: Activity 1 Group talk Read the two points of view about friendship.Decide which one you agree with. ?The more friends you have,the happier you’ll be. ?A few true friends are enough.
