    Nitrogen Leak Test  The Test Stages  1. Turn the nitrogen supply off at the bottle, keep the power on throughout.  2. Disconnect pipe at A, and block the pipe.   2  2 A  A  4     3. Set the nitrogen supply bottle regulator to 10 bar. Do NOT turn the nitrogen supply on at this stage.  4. Disconnect the nitrogen supply from the back of the instrument.  5. Connect the pipe from stage 4 to a cut off valve.  6. Fit a pipe from the cut off valve to a pressure meter. Ensure pipe is  500 mm.  7. Fit a pipe from the pressure meter to the back of the instrument. Ensure pipe is  500 mm.  5, 6, 7    8. Turn on the nitrogen supply at the bottle.   9. Open the cut off valve.   10. Close source door. Wait for source pressure test to complete.  Testing for nitrogen leak Page 1       11. Turn API gas on using instrument control software.  12. Program the desolvation gas to zero.  13. Program the cone gas to zero.  14. Record the pressure on the pressure meter, P1. (should be the same as the supply pressure).  15. Close the shut off valve.  16. Observe the pressure meter
