Step1: Pre-listening
1. Listen, point and say.
Learn the new word: was. 板书 I was short. Now Im tall. Read together. Then ask and answer. T: Whos this? Ss: Its Sam. T: How old was he then? Ss: He was one. T: Look, compare, Sam is tall now, How about then? 用手指Sam一岁时,引导学生说出句子He was short. Learn the new word: then.
Step2 While-listening
1. Listen, point and find “was, were”.
点读笔放录音,请同学们认真指图指句子,找出含有was和were的句子。 Learn the new words: were, young, hair, so, short. We are young now.
2. Listen and answer.
Learn the new word: grandparent, old. 板书They are old.
3. Look, listen and answer.
T: Whats the difference between Lingling when she was a child and now? What does Amy find and say? 点读笔播放录音。Ss: Your hair was short then. T: How about now?
