                Teaching Planning of Lesson 7 Is she a doctor or a nurse? Let’s learn Let’s sing  
I. Teaching aims
 1. Enable Ss to listen, say and recognize the words of different jobs: doctor, farmer, nurse, driver, cook and worker. 
2. Enable Ss to listen and use the sentences: Is she a doctor or a nurse? She is a doctor. 3. Ss can sing the song “Are you a doctor?”. 
4. Cultivate Ss’ emotion of respecting every profession.  
II. Important and difficult points 
1. Help Ss to master the sentence to inquire other’s job. 
2. Help Ss to pronounce “doctor” and “driver” correctly.

Step 1: Warm-up 
1. Brainstorming:  
T shows antonyms to help Ss to get to know the meaning and usage of “or”. 
T: Look at the picture. There are two elephants. Is this one big or small? 
Ss: It’s big. 
T: Look at the girl and the giraffe. Is she tall or short? 
Ss: Short. … 
2. T asks Ss to guess the meaning of “or”.
3. T shows her picture and asks: Am I a teacher or a student? 
Ss: You’re a teacher. Then T shows her family album to introduce the words of jobs. Step 2: Presentation  
1. T shows her mother’s photo and asks Ss to guess who she is. Then T says: She works in a hospital. What’s her job? 
S guesses: She is a doctor. (T plays the recording and asks Ss to read after it. Then T asks Ss to spell and read it one by one.) After practicing the word, T asks:Is she a doctor or a nurse? And help Ss to answer: She is a doctor. 
2. T shows a woman’s photo and asks Ss to guess who she is. Then T says: My sister works in a hospital, too. But she is not a doctor. What’s her job? S guesses: She is a nurse. (T plays the recording and asks Ss to read after it. Then T asks Ss to spell and read it one by one.) Then T asks Ss to practice the sentences: Is she a doctor or a nurse? Ss answer: She is a nurse. 
3. T shows her father’s photo and introduces: He drives(开车) a taxi everyday. What’s his job? 
S guesses: He is a driver. (T plays the rec
