However, they still have problem with paragraph writing, especially the argumentative writing. They’ve no idea what to write and how to organize their ideas to strengthen their point of view. Teaching Aims: This lesson serves to familiarize students with some strategies of writing an argumentative paragraph and enables them to try writing a persuasive and logical one. Students are expected to be able to observe samples and useful patterns and then write in limited time and check in class. Students are expected to develop their thinking logicality and fluency. Important and difficult points: More emphasis should be laid on strategies of supporting an argument and some useful expressions. And students may have difficulty putting what they’ve learned into use and imitating writing a logical and persuasive paragraph. Teaching methods: Task-based Language Teaching Approach.
