This study will explore the insecticidal and fungicidal activity of the essential oil extracted from horseradish plants and investigate its potential application value. Firstly, ultrasonic and steam distillation methods will be used to extract the essential oil from the horseradish plant, and chemical composition analysis of the extract will be performed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Then, the antibacterial and antifungal activities of the extract will be tested, and the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) will be determined. Furthermore, the insecticidal activity of the extract will be studied, including its effects on the sense and activity of mosquitoes and flies. Finally, the potential applications of horseradish essential oil in the food industry, medicine, cosmetics, and agriculture will be explored.
