Burroughs 内容包括: 1. 你对该名言的理解; 2. 生活中的例子; 3. 你的感悟。 #1 投稿 2022广州一测(介绍成语“锲而不舍”) Chinese culture values the great spirit of persistence. Lots of idioms express such meaning, one of which is the idiom we’ll introduce this week — 锲而不舍 (Qie Er Bu She). “锲 (Qie)” means “the act of carving” and “不舍 (Bu She)” means “without giving up”. This idiom, as a whole, suggests if we keep carving a metal or stone, we will eventually turn it into an art work, however hard it is. Taking carving a metal as an analogy, this idiom highlights the moral that if we don’t give up, we will achieve our goal one day. Dear friends, the road to success is a continuous journey. Whenever you set up a goal, stick to it and you’ll finally succeed with ongoing efforts. 优秀书写习作: 2022深圳二模(名人名言理解与感悟:对失败的理解) My Understanding of Failure As J. Burroughs puts it, “A man can fail many times, but he isn’t a failure until he begins to blame somebody else.” In my opinion, this quote means we should take responsibility for our actions instead of complaining the circumstances and people around. Have you ever met those students with awful exam results but keeping condemning their teachers are not excellent enough or their schedule is not flexible enough? Actually, they have two options: keep complaining and nothing changes, or analyze their pros and cons objectively and make a shift in their life. For me, I will always choose the latter one. Acknowledging our inadequacy is the first step to improve it. It might be difficult to hold ourselves accountable for mistakes big and small, but without a doubt, it’s the right thing to do. (2022广东二模)你校英文网站开辟了一个专栏:Campus Life。本期话题是关于“学习习惯的重要性”。请你以“Better Learning Habits Lead to Better Results
