基于上海人力资源市场的职业选择影响因素研究(英文)的中期报告 Interim Report on Factors Influencing Career Choices in the Shanghai Human Resources Market Introduction: Choosing a career is a critical decision for individuals, which can significantly affect their lives. This study aims to explore the various factors that influence career choices in the Shanghai human resources market. Research Methodology: The study employs a qualitative research approach using semi-structured interviews of 20 participants who have made career choices in the Shanghai human resources market. The purposive sampling technique was used to select the participants. The interviews were conducted in Mandarin and recorded for data analysis. Findings: The analysis of the data revealed ten primary factors that influence career choices in the Shanghai human resources market. These factors are as follows: individual values, salary, status and reputation of the company, job security, work-life balance, company culture, job content, career development opportunities, social and family pressures, and personal interests. Discussion: The results of this study confirm the significance of various factors in influencing career choices in the Shanghai human resources market. The study found that individuals values, personal interests, and job content are critical factors in determining their career paths. Additionally, this study found that salary, job security, and career development opportunities are also essential factors in career choice. Social and family pressures, status, and reputation of the company, work-life balance, and company culture are also significant factors that influence career choices. Conclusion: This study provides insights into the factors that influence career choices in the Shanghai human resources market. The results of this study can help job seekers, HR managers, and employers to understand the importance of various factors in career decision-making.
