In this context, a mid-term report on the development strategy of sea-rail intermodal transportation in Shenzhen Port was conducted, and the results are presented in this paper. The report analyzed the current status of sea-rail intermodal transportation in Shenzhen Port, evaluated its strengths and weaknesses, and proposed several strategies to further enhance its development. Introduction: With the rapid development of global trade, sea-rail intermodal transportation has become increasingly important in connecting major ports and expanding their hinterlands. Shenzhen Port, as one of the busiest ports in the world, has been exploring the development of sea-rail intermodal transportation in recent years. The Shenzhen government has recognized that the combination of sea and rail transportation could reduce transportation costs, enhance logistics efficiency, and promote sustainable development. In this regard, a mid-term report on the development strategy of sea-rail intermodal transportation in Shenzhen Port was conducted to assess the current status, identify opportunities and challenges, and propose recommendations for further development. Current Status of Sea-Rail Intermodal Transportation in Shenzhen Port: Sea-rail intermodal transportation in Shenzhen Port has been growing steadily in recent years. In 2020, the volume of sea-rail intermodal transportation reached 3.63 million TEUs, an increase of 13.3% over the previous year. The volume of containers transported by rail also increased significantly, with a growth rate of 17.9% compared to the same period of the previous year.
