英语读书报告格式要求范文

Thereisnostandardformforabookreport.However,everybookreportshouldcontainthefollowingfourparts:

Identification.Givethetitleandauthor’sname.Ifthebookisonewithwhichyourreadersmaynotbefamiliar,identifyitfurther.Givethenameofthepublisher,theplaceandyearofpublication,theprice,andthenumberofpages.

Classification.Awordorphraseearlyinyourreporthelpsthereaderkeepinmindthetypeofbookonwhichyouarereporting;mystery,biography,humor,adventure,andsoon.Yourreadercanthenmentallycompareitwithsimilarbookshehasread.

Description.Askillfulbookreportgivesanoverallviewofabookwithoutgivingawayitsoutcome.Yourdescriptionofabookmayincludequotations orbriefsketchesofscenesoractionthatyouthinkarerepresentativeofthebook.Takenoteswhilereading.Itwillsaveyouthetimeandtroubleofthumbingthroughthebooklatertorelocatequotationsorotherinformation.

Evaluation.Youropinionisthemostimportantpartofthereport.Itmaybeeitheryourimmediatereactiontothebookorajudgmentbasedonfurtherstudy.Ineithercase,youropinionshouldbedefiniteandclear.Itshouldbesupportedwithfacts.Youwillwanttocommentoncharacterizations,plot,andrecurringthemes. Compareorcontrastittootherbooksyou’veread.Writeawordofcriticismorpraisewhilereading.Itwillhelpyourecallyourimpressionofthematerialafteryouhavefinishedthebook.

Writingbookreportscanbeavaluableexerciseinclearthinkingandprecisewriting.Italsogivesyoutheopportunitytoimproveyourwritingandtodevelopastyleofyourown.

注意：

题目统一为:ABookReporton英文书名（斜体），标题居中，正文两端对齐；内容的几个部分可以成若干个段落写，但不能出现1，2，3，4序号字样；

英文中没有书名号,书名斜体；注意其他英文标点符号使用及字母大小写的规范；字体为TimesNewRoman,字号为小四号，行距为固定值20磅；

页码置于页面底端居中。字数要求：about400words
