Abstract:Asignificantgrowthinthefuturedemandforwaterresourcesisexpected.Hencere-
searchershavefocusedonfindingnewtechnologiestodevelopwaterfiltrationsystemsbyusing
experimentalandsimulationmethods.Thesedevelopmentsweremainlyonmembrane-basedsepara-
tiontechnology,andphotocatalyticdegradationoforganicpollutantswhichplayanimportantrolein
wastewatertreatmentbymeansofadsorptiontechnology.Inthiswork,weprovidevaluablecritical
reviewofthelatestexperimentalandsimulationmethodsonwastewatertreatmentbyadsorptionon
nanomaterialsfortheremovalofpollutants.First,wereviewthewastewatertreatmentprocesses
thatwerecarriedoutusingmembranesandnanoparticles.Theseprocessesarehighlightedand
discussedindetailaccordingtotherateofpollutantexpulsion,theadsorptioncapacity,andthe
effectofadsorptiononnanoscalesurfaces.Thenwereviewtheroleoftheadsorptionprocessin
thephotocatalyticdegradationofpollutantsinwastewater.We
