Theconstructionindustryisthe“production”phaseofvirtuallyallcivilengineeringwork. Thegoalofthiscourseistofamiliarizestudentswiththeconstructionindustry—includingtheindustryasawhole,constructioncompanies,constructionprojects,andindividualactivities.

Ourmainpointofviewwasthatofsomeoneworkingforaconstructioncompanyinchargeofmanagingaproject: i.e.,aProjectManager. However,thematerialappliestoanyoneinvolvedinconstructionprojects(e.g.,designers,owner’srepresentatives,siteengineers,etc.)
