过去进行时的构成：was/were+现在分词

用法

表示过去某一时刻或某一段时间内正在进行的动作，常有表过去时间的状语(从句)。

当我进来时，他正在看小说。

表示过去某段时间内持续进行的动作。（常常用的时间状语有thismorning，thewholemorning，allday，fromninetoten等。）

表示过去计划好或安排好的将来动作（只限于come，go，leave，arrive，start，move，sail，fly，travel，stay等）。

与always，forever，constantly，continually连用，表示赞赏或厌恶等感情色彩。
