Thisreportintroducesanewfamilyofmultimodalmodels,Gemini,thatexhibitremarkablecapabilitiesacrossimage,audio,video,andtextunderstanding.TheGeminifamilyconsistsofUltra,Pro,andNanosizes,suitableforapplicationsrangingfromcomplexreasoningtaskstoon-devicememory-constraineduse-cases.Evaluationonabroadrangeofbenchmarksshowsthatourmost-capableGeminiUltramodeladvancesthestateoftheartin30of32ofthesebenchmarks—notablybeingthefirstmodeltoachievehuman-expertperformanceonthewell-studiedexambenchmarkMMLU,andimprovingthestateoftheartineveryoneofthe20multimodalbenchmarksweexamined.WebelievethatthenewcapabilitiesofGeminimodelsincross-modalreasoningandlanguageunderstandingwillenableawidevarietyofusecasesandwediscussourapproachtowarddeployingthemresponsiblytousers.
