Abstract:Cooperativelearningisaninstructionaltheoryandstrategyadoptedbyanumberofcountriesintheworld.Itisaformofgroupcooperation.IthasalonghistoryandisoneoftheeducationaltheorieswhicharesuitableforthepresentEnglishCurriculumStandards.However,Studentsthinkingandskillsarerestrictedbythetraditionalsingleformofteaching.Inthelongrun,thetraditionalteachingmethodisnotadaptedtotheneedanddemandofjuniorEnglishteaching.Itisnotgoodforstudentscommunications,anditalsocanreducesomestudentsinterests.MostofstudentswilllosetheirinterestsinlearningEnglish.ThisthesisrepresentshowcooperativelearningappliesinEnglishclassrooms,anditalsopointsoutsomedeficienciesandsuggestionsofcooperativelearninginEnglishclassrooms.Intheauthorsopinion,cooperativelearningcannotonlyimprovetheatmosphereoftheclassrooms,butalsostimulatethestudentsinterestsinEnglish.Itcanimprovestudentsacademicperformance.Itisalsoconducivetobuildtheharmoniousinterpersonalrelationship.
