Abstract

Duetotheirspecialsocialandeducationalbackgrounds,thesocialsupport

networkofthemiddle-agedstudentgroupfacesmanychallenges,includingdifferent

degreesofsocialsupportdeficitsinpeergroups,atthefamilylevelandatthesocial

level.Theseproblemsnotonlyaffectadolescentgrowth,butalsothreatenthephysical

andmentalhealthofindividualmiddleschoolstudents.Atthesametime,many

studieshavepointedoutthatrelationshipscanfacilitatechangeinservicerecipients.

Relationshipistheessenceandcoreofsocialwork,butthisessencehasgradually

beendilutedasevidence-basedscienceandmanagerialismdominatesocialwork

practice.Thisstudythereforerespondstosomescholarscallforarenewedgraspof

theimportanceofrelationshipsinsocialwork,emphasizesrelationship-basedpractice

asthecoreofsocialworkservices,andexploreswhethercaringrelationshipsunder

theethicalperspectiveofcaringcaninfluencetheenhancementofsocialsupport

networksforsecondaryschoolstudents.Thus,researchquestionsrelatedtothesocial

supportnetworksituationofmiddleschoolstudents,theprocessofcaringrelationship

building,andthepossiblerisksandchallengesofcaringrelationshipsinsocialwork

servicesformiddleschoolstudentgroupsareraised.

Thisstudyadoptsacasestudyapproach,inwhichtheresearcher,asanintern,

goesdeepintothepracticefieldofPorganizationtoobservetheinteractionand

relationshipbuildingprocessbetweensocialworkersandsecondaryschoolstudents

fromaclosedistance.Thestudyreliesonparticipantobservationandin-depth

interviewmethodtocollectdata,andatthesametime,withthehelpofcaringethical

perspective,itpresentstheprocessofconstructingcaringrelationship,andexplores

howtheservicesprovidedbysocialworkersunderthecaringrelationshipperspective

respondtothedilemmasandproblem
