ABSTRACT

Thereportfocusesonthetermmanagementofinterpretingandmainlytoucheswhatthe

interpreterdoesbefore,duringandafteraninterpretingtaskwithregardtoterms.This

Chinese-to-EnglishinterpretingtasktookplacefromSeptember16thtoSeptember20th,

2023,duringthe“GrimpdayAsiaRopeRescueCompetition-RescueMedicineWorkshop”

inwhichtheauthorparticipatedasaninterpreter.Theworkshopdiscussedprinciplesthat

professionalrescueteamsandoutdoorenthusiastsmightfollowwhenencountering

casualtieswithneitheradvancedmedicalsupportnoranyothermedicalresources.

Actionableresolutionswereproposed,featuringseveralevaluatingsystems.Theauthor

selectedthe1-hour-and-40minutesrecordingof,excludingtheintroductoryteam

self-introductionsandtheQAsession.
