AnEVbatteryisacomplexmulti-levelsystemdesignedforhighenergydensity,safety,andlongevity.Itshierarchicalstructuretypicallyconsistsofthreemaincomponents,fromthesmallesttothelargest:

Cell(电芯):thebasicbuildingblockwhereelectrochemicalreactionsoccur.Therearedifferenttypesofcells,namelycylindrical(e.g.,Tesla’s4680cells),prismatic(e.g.,BYD’sBladeBattery),andpouch(e.g.,LGChemcells).Materialsusedforcellsincludegraphiteanode(石墨阳极),cathode(阴极),andelectrolyte.

Module(模组):amiddle-layerassemblygroupingmultiplecellsformanageability.Keycomponentsarecellarrays,busbars(母线排)forelectricalconnections,andstructuralframes(oftenwithfireproofcoatings).
