TheGerberSetupDialog
TheGerberSetupdialogprovidesyouwith
toolstocompletelyconfigureyourGerberfile
outputoptions.Thisdialogisdividedintothe
followingtabs:
GeneralTab
Usethistabtospecifytheunitsandformatto
beusedintheGerberoutputfi.Theunits
canbeeitherinchesormillimeters.
Theformatspecifiestheprecisionofthe
coordinatedata,whichmustbeselectedtosuit
thecementprecisionoftheobjectsinthe
PCBworkspace.Forexample,the2:3format
hasaresolutionof1mil(1/1000inch).Ifyour
designhasobjectscedonasub-1milgrid
thenthisformatwillnotbeadequate.
Conversely,thehigherprecisionformatsmay
bemoredifficultandexpensivetophotoplot
andmanufacture.
