A Taste on Practice of Language Application (IV) At the end of this term, we have our practice of language application—the play of the classical drama. It is really a challenge for us, and from this practice, I have really learnt a lot. First of all, different from other practice before, I am the leader of my group this time. As a responsible person, I wanted to do everything well, so I must try my best to work hard and prepare everything well. The first step was to select our drama. To be frank, it was really a tough task. I should have a comprehensive consideration on every aspect. Our group has seven people, so I must choose the drama according to our number of people. I searched the internet to find all the Shakespeare’s dramas and analyzed which one was more suitable for us. They all said it depended on me to choose which drama. After a long consideration, finally, I chose the Midsummer Night’s Dream. And we had the discussion about whether this dram was good enough. Our group number all supported this dram, so next step was about how to distribute every role to everyone properly. On the one hand, we must ensure that everybody’s lines is almost equal, on the other hand, we must consider everyone’s personality and the personality of the characters in our drama. After our hot discussion, we eventually decided everyone’s role. Then we began to recite our lines and practiced our dialogue. At the same time, we also began to prepare our props. Almost all our props were made by ourselves. In the preparation of this dram, all of members worked very hard. When we had time, we would get together to practice our dialogue. This dram is very long, and it would cost a lot of time, but every time we practiced, each of us was very patient and active. The enthusiasms of our group touched me deeply.
