Women on the Way to the Roof of the World Alison Levine has ever gone through heart surgery twice and Midge Cross is someone who has diabetes and is in struggle with breast cancer. Neither of them is the type to let those difficulties stand in the way of their adventuresome spirit, so they headed for the Roof of the World. They were part of a team that set out last week to become the first group of American women to reach the top of Mount Everest.
