Abstract With the development of the social reform, economic transformation and education reform is carried out in the 21st century, the personality education is becoming more and more important in China. It is a significant task for teachers to think deeply and practice carefully how to fit the new situation and how to cultivate students with healthy personality. Differing from the senior school students, the vocational school students are eliminated through the selection examinations. Though they have more or less problems in study or behavior, they are also the major groups in the socialist modernization. Whether their synthetical qualities are high or not, whether their personalities are healthy or not, which both have an important effect on the future of our country and the prosperous of the Chinese nation. This paper explains what the personality is and what the healthy personality is, inspects the theories and the practice of the personality education at home and abroad, analyses the situation of the vocational school students’ personality development and the causes of its formation, especially combines with the politics teaching practice including the personality educational parts in the textbook, the educational theory, the modern teaching tactics, the assessment in students’ learning and so on. With these efforts, the writer is trying to find out how to make the personality education effective in politics teaching.
