Abstract DL C film s have been p repared on silicon by pulse arc p lasm a depo sition T he re
lationsh ip s betw een p roperties (hardness and resistivity) of the depo sited film s and depo sition
param eters have been system atically analyzed; and the w ear resistant of the depo sited film s is al

so discussed T he results show that bo th hardness and resistivity of the depo sited film s are re
lated w ith substrate temperature, vo ltage U acro ss the interelectrode and frequency of pulse , and
varied w ith these param eters in an identical w ay. T hese depo sited film s have demonstrated an
excellent w ear resistant quality
