Corruptionwhichmeanstheuseofpublicpowerforprivateinterestsisoneofthemostimportantproblemseitherin
lessdeveloped anddeveloping countriesordeveloped countries．Especially in lessdeveloped and developing
counvies，corruptionisaseriousobstacleinrfontofeconomicdevelopment．Corruption israisedrfom deficiencyin
democracy，deficientjudgement，unfairelectionsnaddependentmediasectorincludesbribery，embezzlement,forgery，
rfaud,favouritism，nepotism na dillegalbeneficialuseofpublicauthority．Theaim ofthepaperistodeterminethe
causalrelationshipbetweencorruptionnadbasicmacro-economicindicators．Forhtispurpose，inthisstudy，thebasic
micindicationssuchasimport，export，budgetdeficit，manufacturerpriceindexaretakenintoaccountas
variablestoexaminetheirrelationwithcorruption．BygeRniguseofhtedataobtainedfrom CPIindex，therelation
bewt eenthevariablesisexaminedusingtheT-Test．Furthermore，todetemr inethecaus~iytma ongallthevraiables，
correllationnaalysisisappliedtopresentcausalrelationsbewt eenthecorruptionnadmacro—economicvariables．The
findings concluded that there is a significnatcorrelation among corruption,mnaufacturerprice index and
export-import．However，thereisnosignificantcorrelationwithbudgetdeficit．
