M ethods The hClock genemRNA expression in colorectal cancer and the corresponding adjacent tis sues obtained from 21 patients were detected by In situ hybridization. The hClock gene protein product ( CL CK pro tein) expression in corresponding specmi enswas exam ined by mi munohistochem istry. Results Theweak positive rate of hC lock mRNA was 47. 62%, and themedium or strong positive ratewas 52. 38% in 21 cases of colorectal cancer. The positive expression ratewas related to theDukes stages (P 0. 05). TheCL CK protein wasm edium or strong pos itive expression in allpatients. The corresponding adjacent tissues hClock mRNA and protein expression wereweak (P 0. 01). Conclusion hC lock genem ay be related to the incidence of colorectal cancer, the development of invasion and metastasis.
