Abstract In order to test and opt mi ize the gasf low d istr ibution of a new lybu ilt fabric bag filter o f coa l
fired pow er p lant, a set of scaled physica lm odelw as estab lished according to the smi ilar ity theo ry. Based on the
goa,l severa l tests w ere carried out w ith different d iversion m easures, inc lud ing add ing flow deflectors and chan
ging the com b ination w ay o f perforated plates. Through these tests, an optmi um proposalw as obtained.
