AB STRA CT The purpose of th is paper is to reveal th e periodi hanges in th e library s ien e resear h in Ch ina, and
provide de ision-m ak ing and referen e inform ation for the sele tion of resear h th esis, proje t establishm ent and
edu ational program plann ing in this field. By using keywords frequen y analysis and o-w ords analysis, th is study takes
the CNK I database as its data sour es to ondu t an analysis of th e arti lespublished in the 7 representative library s ien e
journals in 1999 - 2008, in luding th e J ourna l of L ibrary S cience in Ch ina. It olle ts 68 h igh-frequ en y k eyw ords that
refle t the fo al points of library s ien e resear h in th e last ten years and summ arizes n ine resear h stru tures in th is field.
These stru tures are losely related to the gen eral so ial ba kground and have four resear h dmi ension s, in luding
m anagem ent, te hnology, human ities and m utual integration, asw ell as the hara ters of fa ing appli ation, relying on
