Abstr act Mature seeds were used as explant to study the callus induction subculture and plant: , ,
regeneration of Zoy sia sinica Hance. The results showed that the maximum rate of callus
induction was 43. 0% and occurred on the modified M medium (M m ) supplemented with 2. 5
mg/ L 2, 4-D, 0. 25 mg/ L 6-BA, and 1- 2 mg/ L thiamine. The optimum subculture medium was
M m containing 0. 1mg/ L 6-BA and 2. 0 mg/ L 2, 4-D. 30% - 60% calli type of white to yellowish
could regenerate plants on M medium free of growth regulators.
