College of Life Science and Chemistry,T ianshui 741001, China) Abstract:It synthesised the schiff base lanthanide complexes { [ M ( NO ) ] 2H O; M = La, Nd, Sm by N, N- bis( salicylaldehyde - o - 3 2 2 phenylenediamine) ( L) ligand with rare earth metal salts. The corresponding complexes were charactered with infrared spectroscopy ( IR) , UV- visi- ble spectroscopy ( UV) , thermal weight ( TG/ DTA) and molar conductivity. The results showed that six coordinate bonds were contained between rare earth element complexes, and a pair of NO3- was coordinated with coordination central rare earth ion.
