Abstract: An embryo cell l ne of Bombyx mori, named BmE- SWU2, was establ shed after one year pr mary
culture. The cells are relat vely s ngle, short shuttle- l ke or round, and very small n shape. The cell l ne
belongs to adhes ve- type ep thel um. The cell doubl ng t me was 518 h. The rat o of duple cells was
8976% . Thus , the cell l ne belongs to duple cell l ne. The chromosomes of BmE- SWU2 was typ cal of
Lep doptera, namely the chromosomes n metaphase were short pole- l ke or granule- l ke and the centromeres
d spersed-type. BmE- SWU2 was more sens t ve to BmNPV . The 50% t ssue culture nfect on dose ( TCID )
