In order to provide a rational temperature data for structural design, a numerical simulation program based on ASHRAE model is developed through secondary development of ANSYS. Considering the effect of solar radiation, convective heat transfer and heat conduction, the tem perature field of structure in Chiping Gymnasium is then simulated numerically. Through numerical simu lation, the temperature distribution is obtained, and some conclusions are drawn, such as the temperature of arches is much higher that of air, the temperature gradient along crosssection of arches is very high and so on.
