In order to design an excellent convertor one must be guided by t heo ry of automatic control . The principle and t he met hod of design , modeling and control for DC DC convertors of EV are introduced . The met hod of t he systemresponse to a unit stepfunction input and t he frequencyresponse met hod are applied to researching t he convertor ’s mat hematics model and control characteristic . Exp eriment s show t hat t he designed DCDC convertor ’s out put voltage precision is high , t he antij amming abilit y is strong and t he adj ustable p erformance is fast and smoot h . One is t he DC highvolt age power supply t hat is used by high power devices such as t raction motor s and air conditioner s etc . The ot her is t he DC lowvolt age power supply t hat is usually used in some cont rol circuit and lowvolt age elect rical devices such as t he inst rument and lighting . It s rating volt age is 24 V or 12 V . The lowvolt age power supply can be gained from t he highvolt age power supply by a DCDC convertor .
