The effects of interactions bewt een independentvariables in the equation on the totalvanadi um content of tailingswere systematically studied; as a result, the originalequationwas further smi plified. The results show that the in ternal relation of the totalvanadium content of tailings to the abovementioned factors can be accurately reflected through the original equation and the reduced equation, which can provide a basis of judgment for technical controlof the totalvanadium content of tailings in actualproduction.
