The behaviors of mixed monolayers of O–quaternized–N,N–dilauryl chitosan and cholesterol were studied. It showed that the limiting molecular area Aex and collapse pressure πc of mixed monolayers gradually decreased as the cholesterol molar ratio increased from 0.2 to 0.8.
