The supersonic method combined w ith the SHPB technology is presented to quantitatively measure impacting damage and quantify the dynamic damage. T est data are compared w ith the fitted results. The method is proved to be applicable for the study of dynamic damage as the strain rate is betw een - 1 - 1 10 s and 40 s .
