Ultra Lightweight Concrete

Abstract: The initial mix proportion of high-strength ultra lightweight concrete( HSULC) was determined by range analysis of orthogonal test. On the
basis of initial mix proportion, HSULCwas optimized from apparent density andworkability, and the best mix proportion was put forward, of which
the weight mixing amounts for SIKA water reducer and TBJ pumping aid were 018% and 0109% respectively. The results show that the concrete
based on the best mix proportion has high fluidity, good homogeneity and no bleeding and segregation, and the wet surface density is less than

1 450kgPm , 28d compressive strength is 23MPa. This concrete has been successfully pumped in the new terminal station of Wuhan TianHe Airport.
