The economic globalization , restructuring of the world industries , great leap forward of the aerospace industry and modernization of the national defence construction have resulted in the strong growth in the Chinese Electric Power Industry. In this paper , we preset some ideas about the development of the materials and product of electric wire and cable during the Eleventh Five Year Plan based on teh strategy of the cable commission of CIGRE and our research achievements.
