Abstract! This paper investi ated and analyzed le al knowled e- base productions at home and abroad, then constructed
an OWL ontolo y- based le al knowled e base prototype system about Chinese law. Inte ratin actions and punishment involved in
some domestic statutes, the knowled e base prototype realized le al knowled e representation and inference.
