Abstract: Southern part of Jiangx i P rov ince, w hich is ca ed the transit iona area from the m idd e subtrop
ica zone to the southern subtrop ica zone, is ocated at edge o f the southern subtropica zone in China. B e
cause o f this, study ing on the a ien p an ts in th is area becom es a typica case to d iscuss the d iversity and safety
of a ien p ants in southern China. B ased on this po int, a study on the a ien p ants in the southern part of J ian
gx i P rov ince has been conducted to get the conc u sions as fo ow s: 1) there are 111 spec ies o f a ien p ants in
the southern part o f Jiangx i P rov ince , w hich be ong to 47 fam i ies and 84 genu s; 2) the a ien p ants , w hich
com e from 5 continents in the w or d, show h igher d iversity in the southern p
