The results show that there are 493 species, 270 genera and 81families of w ild seed plants in lava plateau of Jingbo Lake, Heilongjiang Province. Dominant families have area-l types of 11 genera and 17 species, w hich is absolute advantage of temperate distribution; Plant resources can be divided into 12 classes on nature and application, such as medicinal, ornamental; On class-i fication of Raunkiaer life style, hemicryptophyte and therophyte are major; On classification of Chinese veg- etation life style, perennial herbages are predominate, the next is annual herbaceous; T he species of meso- phyte are the most of ecological type of w ater and those of xerophyte take 7. 51%.
