Methods: Observe the diarrhoea and analgesia effect of different proportions of coptis-magnolia ， coptis-magnolia effective part and berberine hydrochloride-magnolol by the model of acetic acid in mice writhing and senna induced diarrhea. Results: The 1∶2 prescription ratio of the coptis-magnolia ， coptis-magnolia effective part and berberine hydrochloride-magnolol have good effect on diarrhoea and analgesia. Conclusion: Coptis-magnolia ， coptis-magnolia effective part and berberine hydrochloride-magnolol have the same diarrhoea and analgesia effect ， and the best prescription ratio is 1∶2.
