Finite Element Analysis on Stress Deformation of Earth-rock Dam Based on ANSYS

Abstract: In geotechnical finite element analysis, there are many restrictions in the application scope and applicability of the f-i
nite element software ANSYS which is without Duncan-Chang model. In order to simulate the practical characteristic of earth
mass, Duncan-Chang model is formed on the basis of second development of APDL parameter design languagewhich is provided
by ANSYS, and the calculation example on an isotropic dam is verified here. The results indicate that the compiled program
could fulfill the requrements of the numerial calculation and the laws of stress and displacement of the earth-rock dam.
