Abstract: Studies and tests were carried out on pulverized slag in concrete to investigate the influence of pulverized
slag on various performances of concrete and its strengthening mechanism. T he results of the studies and tests
show that, after the pulverized slag was added in the concrete mixture, the consistency of cement and high efficien-
cy water reducing agent was significantly improved, thus increasing the flowability of concrete, and both the
strength and durability of concrete were also greatly improved.
