First, the principle and development of the m ltiresol tion image f sion approaches was given. Then, several typical algorihtms, incl ding the pyramid transform, the wavelet transform and wavelet frame transform, and the f sion r les of form classical pixel_based schemes to region_based schemes were disc ssed and analyzed. Finally, the disadvantages and development trend of the m l- tiresol tion image f sion approaches were presented according to m ltiresol tion decompositions, f sion r les and eval ation cri- teria of the f sion res lts.
