Objective T o elu idate the role of platelet derived grow th fa tor B( P DGFB) and platelet derived grow th fa tor re eptor ( PDGFR) in vas ular angiogenesis and remodeling in t he mouse model of asthma. Methods After est ablish ment of the mouse model of bron hial asthma, immunofluores en e and HE staining were used to ount the number of vas ular smooth mus le ells ( vSMC ) , then reverse trans riptionpolymerase hain rea tion( RTPCR) and w estern blot methods w ere used to dete t mRNA and protein level of PDGFB and PDGFRin tra hea and lung tissues. Results ∀ Smooth mus le ells de reased in a ute phase, however, they returned to nearly normal in hroni stage; # PDGFB mRNA and PDGFR mRNA w ere not dete ted in normal tra heal tissue. But they were in reased in tra hea in hroni asthma. They showed enhan ed expressions in asthma lung t issues ompared w ith those in normal tissues, espe ially in hroni phase. The results of protein levels using western blot method w ere onsist ent w ith mRNA expression.
