Let the children to understand simple questions and greetings. Teaching Aids Activity sheets, tape recorder, multimedia Teaching Procedures Step1: Warming up and revision Greetings. Sing a song: “Hello” Have a free talk: e.g. T: Hello, children! Ps: Hello, Miss Dai. T: How are you? Ps: Fine, thank you. And you? T: I’m fine, too. Thank you. ( Etc.) Step 2: Presentation Show a cartoon (Someone talking about their names.) for the Ps. Then, Ask the Ps to repeat after the speakers of cartoon. Make a dialogue: T: Hello, little boy! B: Hello! T: I’m Miss Dai. What’s your name? B: …. (Help him to answer this question.) T: Thank you. Goodbye! B: Goodbye! 4) Show the sentences on the board and play the tape for the Ps. Ask them to repeat after the tape. Step 3: Practice 1) Show a PowerPoint to the Ps.(Scene Teaching)show 4 scenes to the class and ask the Ps to use the sentences to talk. e.g. 1.
