Abstract: Doublecr stal Pwave probes in t he ult rasonic nondestructive t esting are w idel used, therefore, w e
need to develop an alternat ive mathematical model of doublecr stal probe. Based on Snells law and the H u gens
principle, and combined w ith the sound pressure difference model of beam cross sect ion, an alternative mathematical
model of doublecr st al probe is established to be used ef fectivel t o identif defects in the bod echo signals. B
comparing of the experimental data w ith t he flat bott om hole echo signal, the correctness of the mathematical model
of choice of the double cr stal probe is verified.
