Gansu College of Traditional Chinese Medicine ，Lanzhou 730000 ，China) ［Abstract］ Through reviewing more than 37 papers concerning safety issues of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)in the recent 10 years ，our article here covers :1)possible reasons contributed to the TCM safety issue ;2 )the major tasks in the evaluation of TCM safety ;3 )methodology and some new technique applied in TCM safety evaluation. Some suggestions for solving the TCM safety issue were also proposed in this article.
